Vic Naidoo
The President: Master Builders South Africa
Vic Naidoo is currently a General Manager at 2C Projects CC, a Member company of Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal. He is also the Managing Director of KBV Projects(pty) ltd.Upon completing matric, Vic attended the University of Durban Westville where he pursued studies in Public Administration. This was followed by studies at ML Sultan Technikon, Purchasing Management Services and Construction Computer software – all of which held him in good stead for his future career.
His career in the construction industry spans several years. During this time he managed several construction projects of significant value, some of which are considered as landmark projects, also winning awards over the years. He has been a Member of the Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal Executive Council since 2008, having served as President of the Association from 2011-2013 and FinCom Chairperson from 2016 until June 2019. Vic also served as a Board Member at MBSA since 2011 to date. His experience, success and leadership abilities has undoubtedly contributed to his election as Vice-President of Master Builders South Africa. Vic is passionate about transformation of the industry and has been one of the pioneers of construction industry transformation in KwaZulu – Natal. This passion played itself out when Vic Naidoo was instrumental in pushing transformation at the level of the MBSA Federation. Vic is also a Leader at Gate Ministries Church, Chairman of Security Forum in Westville Mega Crescent and Member of the Westville Community Forum. Vic is married to Shireen Naidoo and has a beautiful family including his son, daughter, grandson and son in law.

Musa Shangase
Vice President: Master Builders South Africa
Musa is a Commercial Director of Corobrik, appointed to the Board of Corobrik in December 2013. He has prior experience in the Building and Construction Industry, prior to joining Corobrik;
His experience in leadership and more than 30 years’ experience in the building industry, served as HR manager, and Sales & Marketing Manager at PPC Cement, General Manager at Saint Gobain Construction Products SA (a French Multinational), Sales and Marketing Director and Managing Director at African Brick Pty Ltd.
He held various executive directorship positions in manufacturing and retailing companies. He is the immediate past President of the Clay Brick Association of Southern Africa, President of the Master Builders Association North, Board Member of the Master Builders SA, serves on the board of Kopano Brick Works and Chairman of Umesatshwa Investments Pty Ltd.
He served on the Boards of African Brick Pty Ltd and Central Brick and Hardware during 2009 to 2013. Also serve as Chairman of the Corporate SMME Development Forum (CSDF) from 2005 till 2010.

John Matthews
Immediate Past President: Master Builders South Africa
John was born in Kensington, on the Cape Flats in 1964 and obtains his matric at Wittebome High School, Wynberg. He graduates from UCT with a B.Com degree in 1985 and embarks on an accounting career at Pinelands Development Company, the sister company to Garden Cities. In 1990 he joins Garden Cities and rises through the organization to the position of CEO in 2002. Currently he holds the position of Group CEO within the Garden Cities group of companies.
Academically, he completed an MBA at UCT in 1997, specializing in Strategic Management. His areas of interest include the provision of housing and other social services to uplift the people of South Africa in a sustainable manner.Other positions held by him are: President of the Master Builders Association-Western Cape, CEO of the Archway Foundation, Member of the Building Industry Bargaining Council; member of the Audit and Risk Committee of the University of the Western Cape.

Roy Mnisi
Executive Director: Master Builders South Africa
Roy Mnisi is the Executive Director of Master Builders South Africa. He is an admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with more than ten years post admission experience. He started his law career in 2002 at Madelein Nel Attorneys and moved to Johan Jacobs and Malcolm Moodie Attorneys where he practiced law till 2005.
In 2005, he moved to join the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality as a Legal Specialist within the revenue Department of the City. In 2008, he joined the Institute of Municipal Finance Officers in as a Chief Executive Officer and held that position until 2015, when he joined Master Builders South Africa. He has served on several Boards including the Playhouse Company, Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors, Water Research Commission, Freedom Park and others. Roy is a member of the Institute of Directors and a non-practicing member of the Law Society of the Northern Provinces. He currently serves on the Boards of National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC) and Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA).

Jeff Thomas
Director: SA Reinforced Concrete Engineers Association
Jeff Thomas is the director of the South African Reinforced Concrete Engineers Association (SARCEA)
Jeff was born in Johannesburg and started his career as a structural draughtsman in a consulting engineers practice. He then joined a reinforcing company and moved to Bloemfontein where he managed the reinforcing sub contract on the Vanderkloof dam.
He became the manager of the Bloemfontein operation and was transferred to Johannesburg in 1981 where he was appointed Managing director of Steeledale in the Transvaal.He held various positions at Steeledale including Chairman of the mining and structural steel divisions.
He retired from Steeledale in 2010 and took up the post of commercial manager for the Rebar JV at Medupi power station.
In 2012 he took over from Rod Mountford as director of the association.
Jeff matriculated at Athlone Boys High and then attended Wits technical college in Johannesburg.He completed the General management Programme at Henley college in the UK in 1985 and was active in the associations training schemes from the early 80,s. He has also served on the SEIFSA council for the past 25 years.

Vikki Harbhajan
Executive Director: Master Builders Kwazulu-Natal
Vikashnee Harbhajan is the Executive Director of Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal. She has held senior positions in both the public and private sector, has a Master’s degree in law and is an admitted Attorney and Conveyancer of the High Court of South Africa.
She commenced her career at the University of Durban–Westville and Technikon Mangosuthu in the faculties of Law and served her articles with the Legal Aid Board. Ms Harbhajan also practiced as an attorney for her own account and served at the Free State Department of Education as Director: Legal Services and Labour Relations, before taking up a position with the National Economic Development and Labour Council (NEDLAC) as the Programme Director.
She then joined Business Unity South Africa (BUSA), the national voice of organised business in SA where she served as Executive Director responsible for Social Policy for over four years. Her portfolio at BUSA included inter alia labour market policy, education, training, skills, health, immigration, social security and anti – corruption.
She has also gained experience on several Boards and Councils, including the National Board for Further Education and Training (NBFET), Advisory Council for Occupational Health and Safety (ACOHS), South African Business Coalition on HIV and AIDS Board (SABCOHA), Wholesale and Retail SETA Board (WRSETA). Construction Industry Development board (CIDB) National stakeholder forum, Essential Services Committee (ESC), Equality Review Committee (ERC), KwaZulu-Natal Human Resource Development Council and the SACPCMP Transformation Committee Chairperson.Vikashnee currently serves on the MBSA Board and is also a member of the Institute of Directors (IOD).
In 2016, the Association of Schools of Construction of Southern Africa (ASOCSA) awarded Vikashnee Harbhajan with the ASOCSA Leadership Award for demonstrating consistent, ethical and exemplary leadership in the broader construction industry. She also received the Country Award, SADC Regional Award and Africa Continental Award in the Agencies and Regulatory Authorities Sector of CEO Global’s Most Influential Women in Business and Government2017 Awards.

Dolly Tembe
Managing Director: Sakhisizwe Development Training
Dolly served as President of Master Builders Kwa Zulu Natal for a three year period until June 2019. She currently serves on the Executive Council as Immediate Past President.
Dolly Tembe holds a Diploma in Community Service Training Programme with the University of Natal and a Diploma in Project Management with Akademie Klausenhof in Rhede- Germany. She has vast experience in Rural Community Development Projects, has facilitated various development initiatives in Kwa-Zulu/Nata, Mpumalanga Province and Eastern Cape Province. She is a founder and owner of Sakhisizwe Development Training, She is currently a Managing Director of Sakhisizwe Company, which is fully accredited by CETA and MerSETA. The company is the only black owned Trade Test Centre in KZN in the Construction Industry which is owned by a woman. Allen Bodill
Executive Director: Master Builders Western Cape
Allen Bodill is currently the Executive Director of Master Builders & Allied Trades’ Association Western Cape, having been appointed to the position in March 2015. He served as President of MBAWC from September 2010 to September 2012 and has been active on their OHS, Joint Practice and Contractual and Legal committees, as well as representing the Association at the BIBC.
He has represented MBSA at the SACPCMP and on NHBRC committees and also currently represents the National Association as a Board member at JBCC.
Prior to joining MBAWC as the executive director of the Association, Allen successfully ran his own construction company for 32 years, specialising in the luxury-housing market in the greater Cape Peninsula area, as well completing many projects in the industrial and commercial sectors of the industry. The company also offered “Turn-Key” Consulting services, as well as operating as Principal Contractors, Project Managers and Construction Managers.
Allen holds an MSc degree in Project Management from UCT, after having qualified in both Mechanical Engineering and Structural Engineering at CPUT. He holds registration with SACPCMP in both of the categories of a Professional Construction Project Manager and a Professional Construction Manager.
